Job Description:

Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to develop and execute strategic supply chain plans that optimize our supplier network, improve supplier relationships, and drive efficiency for Central Purchasing, ensuring seamless operations and customer satisfaction.

Key Job Responsibilities 

  • Develop and Refine Strategies for Central Purchasing: Create strategies for central purchasing based on market trends, competitive analysis, and internal data to optimize supplier selection and ensure cost efficiency.
  • Manage and Oversee Strategic Plans: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and evaluate progress against goals, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Communicate Strategic Insights: Provide clear updates and insights on strategic plans and performance to stakeholders, including senior management and the Board of Directors.
  • Identify and Mitigate Risks: Proactively identify risks that could impact strategic objectives and develop comprehensive mitigation strategies to minimize potential disruptions.
  • Drive Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process enhancement and innovation within the organization to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support Decision-Making with Data Analysis: Utilize data-driven insights to support decision-making across the supply chain, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Facilitate Cross-Department Collaboration: Facilitate communication and coordination between departments to ensure all supply chain activities align with the company’s strategic direction.
  • Evaluate Cost Optimization Opportunities: Regularly assess cost drivers and identify opportunities for savings through supplier negotiations, process efficiencies, and strategic sourcing.
  • Build Data Science Roadmap: Develop and implement a roadmap for building and optimizing the analytics infrastructure needed to support the data science team, enabling advanced analytics and AI based solutions.


 

Education and/or Experience Required (including certifications)

  • Bachelor or Masters in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement preferred
  • Experience devising and executing strategic road maps
  • Advanced knowledge of data analytics platforms
  • Experience leading data science and AI projects.


 

Required Skills/Abilities 

  • Effectively manage a fast-paced environment, demonstrating multi-tasking ability while working under pressure
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey plans and strategies to various stakeholders.
  • Understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience in managing projects, setting timelines, and coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Aptitude for identifying problems, analyzing root causes, and developing solutions.
  • Ability to scrutinize data and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Strong ability to lead and influence change
  • Eager to take initiative and make continuous improvements to processes
  • Core Competencies: Negotiations, Influence, Interpersonal Relations, Persuasive Communications, Detail Oriented, Conflict Resolution, Results Driven

  • Work from Home opportunity but may be asked to travel to corporate office for special meetings
  • Ability to utilize Google Suite for managing internal business controls
  • Capable of working independently and with minimum supervision
