Job Description:

This role is responsible for leading a team of sourcing professionals as well as leading our third party provider  in negotiations with our OE and Aftermarket suppliers. This leader will collaborate with market leaders and will represent the company in negotiations with all direct parts suppliers (oe and non oe) to achieve optimal discounts and service levels.

Key Job Responsibilities 

  • Conduct strategic sourcing activities through RFPs and targeted selection

  • Negotiate new terms and contracts with new/existing suppliers for all part types

  • Initiate and approve new additions to the supply base - establishing preferred vendors to support market needs

  • Develop supplier onboarding processes and oversee onboarding activity to completion - maintaining points of contact for both relationship oversight and contacts to support AP/AR compliance.

  • Establish, build and maintain strategic supplier relationships through consistent communication channels

  • Serve as escalation point for supplier and market operations non-compliance

  • Host supplier performance reviews with suppliers and operations to address non performance and build strategic partnerships

  • Leverage external third party supplier for streamlining consolidations and supplier setups

  • Identify cost savings initiatives and lead projects to execution

  • Understand The Boyd Group Procurement policies and promote approved procurement practices across the organization

  • Develop new policies to support the central supplier management/procurement team structure and communicate policies for adoption

  • Build positive working relationships with Operations team

  • Monitor and manage supplier performance through use of objective scorecards

Education and/or Experience Required

  • Bachelor in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement preferred

  • A minimum of 8 years previous experience in Supply Chain and Data Analytics preferred

  • Working knowledge of ERP (WorkDay preferred)

  • Advanced knowledge of data analytics platforms

  • Certifications relate to Procurement/Supply Chain/Data Analytics preferred

Other Requirements

  • Work from Home opportunity but may be asked to travel to corporate office for special meetings

  • About 10% travel to designated assigned areas for client supplier meetings. (1-2 trips per quarter)

  • Ability to utilize Google Suite for managing internal business controls

  • Capable of working independently and with minimum supervision
