Job Description:
The Accounting Clerk will perform complex clerical, bookkeeping, and accounting assignments and prepare accounting statements and financial reports.
Position Summary
Provide customer service regarding collections issues, process customer refunds, review and process account adjustments, and resolve client discrepancies and short payments. Responsible for reducing delinquency for assigned accounts.
Principal Functions and Responsibilities
Including, but not limited to:
Conduct collection calls and/or correspondence in a goal-oriented collections department.
Enlist the efforts of sales and management, when necessary, to accelerate the collection process.
Reconcile customer disputes related to outstanding payment balances.
Communicate and follow up with the Sales Department regarding customer accounts.
Process credit memos.
Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
Process credit card payments and credits.
Make adjustments to accounts as needed.
Participate in team planning meetings.
