Job Description:

The Infrastructure Program Manager is a strategic Senior Program Manager who leads and oversee complex IT programs involving Infrastructure, Applications, and Security in Elmhurst, IL. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating multiple related projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and executive leadership to deliver integrated and impactful IT solutions, with a focus on managing programs with budgets ranging from $500,000 to $30 million.

Key Job Responsibilities

Program Leadership:

  • Provide strategic leadership for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex IT programs encompassing Infrastructure, Applications, and Security.
  • Align program objectives with the overall business strategy and organizational goals.
 

Stakeholder Management:

  • Engage with and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, to ensure program alignment with business priorities.
  • Communicate program status, risks, and resolutions to stakeholders in a clear and effective manner.
 

Resource Management:

  • Lead and allocate resources effectively across multiple projects to optimize program outcomes, considering the diverse requirements of Infrastructure, Applications, and Security initiatives.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure the availability of necessary resources.
 

Risk Management and Mitigation:

  • Identify potential risks at the program level and develop comprehensive mitigation plans, taking into account the unique challenges of Infrastructure, Applications, and Security projects.
  • Proactively address issues and obstacles to minimize disruptions across the program.
 

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure program deliverables meet or exceed established standards across Infrastructure, Applications, and Security domains.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of program outcomes.
 

Budget Oversight:

  • Manage program budgets ranging from $500,000 to $30 million, tracking expenses, and ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial reports to executive leadership.
 

Change Management:

  • Lead change management initiatives at the program level, ensuring the organization is prepared for and adopts changes resulting from Infrastructure, Applications, and Security implementations.
  • Foster a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement.
 

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive program documentation, including program charters, requirements, and documentation of key decisions.
  • Provide regular, insightful reports to executive leadership on program status and key performance indicators.

Education and/or Experience Required

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in senior program management roles, with a focus on Infrastructure, Applications, and Security programs.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large, complex IT programs with budgets ranging from $500,000 to $30 million.
  • Experience in strategic program planning and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional project teams within a program.
  • Strong experience in budget management and financial reporting for programs.
  • Expertise in risk management and proactive issue resolution at the program level.
  • Track record of successful stakeholder management, including executive leadership.
  • Familiarity with various project and program management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Program Management Professional (PgMP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects within a program simultaneously.
 

Tools Requirements:

  • Proficiency in program and project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar tools.
  • Experience with collaboration and communication tools like Gchat, Slack, Microsoft Teams, or others.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools for financial tracking and reporting.
  • Competency in productivity tools like Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.

Compensation Details:

$105,000 - $130,000 / Year

Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience. 

Supplemental Pay: 

This position may also be eligible for Bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
