Job Description:
The Boyd Group is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee complex projects in Elmhurst, IL. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of projects, from planning and execution to closure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and executive leadership to ensure successful project delivery and contribute to the overall strategic objectives of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Project Leadership:
- Provide strategic leadership for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex projects.
- Align project objectives with the overall business strategy and organizational goals.
Stakeholder Management:
- Engage with and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, to ensure project alignment with business priorities.
- Communicate project status, risks, and resolutions to stakeholders in a clear and effective manner.
Resource Management:
- Lead and allocate resources effectively to optimize project outcomes.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure the availability of necessary resources.
Risk Management and Mitigation:
- Identify potential risks and develop comprehensive mitigation plans.
- Proactively address issues and obstacles to minimize project disruptions.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed established standards.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of project outcomes.
Budget Oversight:
- Manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports to executive leadership.
Change Management:
- Lead change management initiatives, ensuring the organization is prepared for and adopts changes resulting from project implementations.
- Foster a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, requirements, and documentation of key decisions.
- Provide regular, insightful reports to executive leadership on project status and key performance indicators. (e.g. Scorecards, Metrics based Reporting, etc.)
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in senior project management roles.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large, complex projects.
- Experience in strategic project planning and alignment with organizational goals.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional project teams.
- Strong experience in budget management and financial reporting for projects.
- Expertise in risk management and proactive issue resolution.
- Track record of successful stakeholder management, including executive leadership.
- Familiarity with various project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Tools Requirements:
- Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar tools.
- Experience with collaboration and communication tools like Slack, Microsoft Teams, or others.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking systems.
- Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools for financial tracking and reporting.
- Competency in productivity tools like Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.

Compensation Details:
$120,000 - $140,000 / Year
Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
Supplemental Pay:
This position may also be eligible for Bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
