Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Execute project plans, ensuring milestones are achieved on schedule and within scope.
  • Oversee project budgets and ensure financial constraints are adhered to.

Scrum Facilitation:

  • Guide and coach the Scrum Team on Agile/Scrum principles and practices.
  • Organize and facilitate Scrum ceremonies (e.g., Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives).
  • Ensure the Scrum Team adheres to Scrum framework and Agile principles.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with project stakeholders, including team members, sponsors, and external vendors.
  • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of project goals.
  • Provide regular project status updates, risk assessments, and issue resolution plans.

Resource and Team Management:

  • Coordinate and allocate resources efficiently, ensuring project objectives are met.
  • Empower and support the Scrum Team to self-organize and make decisions leading to high-quality product delivery.
  • Remove impediments that hinder the progress of the Scrum Team.

Risk and Change Management:

  • Proactively identify and address potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Lead change management processes, ensuring the organization adopts changes resulting from project implementations.
  • Address issues and obstacles that impact project success or Scrum Team progress.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and address areas for improvement within both the Scrum Team and broader organization.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving greater efficiency and effectiveness in project execution.

Metrics and Reporting:

  • Track and report key Agile metrics to measure team performance and project progress.
  • Provide timely updates to stakeholders on project status and any potential challenges.

Training and Documentation:

  • Provide training on Agile/Scrum best practices and tools to team members.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including charters, requirements, and key decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management and at least 3 years as a Scrum Master.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or similar Agile certification.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheets.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and the Scrum framework.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while fostering a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Competency in productivity tools like Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.

Compensation Details:

$120,000 - $140,000 / Year

Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience. 

Supplemental Pay: 

This position may also be eligible for Bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
